(EIBASS) notes that on December 31, 2009, MSTV, NAB and SBE filed an ex parte request that the current deadline for completion of the TV Broadcast Auxiliary Services (BAS) transition from 1,990–2,110 MHz to 2,025–2,110 MHz be extended from February 8, 2010, to August 9, 2010. EIBASS supports this request.

The MSTV/NAB/SBE filing demonstrates that Sprint Nextel has been
progressing diligently towards completing the transition, and that the
conversion of all 2 GHz TV BAS operations in the United States has been a
more complex undertaking than originally thought. Thus, EIBASS agrees
that it would be in the public interest to allow an extension of the transition
deadline in order to allow the remaining 14% of BAS incumbents to
complete installation of new 2 GHz radio equipment.
